January has been a great month. I can’t wait for the rest of the year, but until then, here are some things that made January special:
- Started playing the ukelele. It was the Christmas present I had hoped for. I got a couple minutes of practice in most days of the month. Cool thing about a uke: it’s easy to pick up.
- Hit 50K views on Quora. I spent 10 days of my daily writing focused on Quora answers. I found that as anywhere, storytelling sells. I went from 3K to 50K views in one month.
- 40 days of writing daily and counting! My personal website, Quora, and Yours.org experienced a taste of Lolita the writer. And I found the power of the discipline of creating content every day, no matter how poor or crazy I think it is!
- Finished 4 books. I was aiming for 6 books in 10 days, but I volunteered for a friend that needed help for 3 of those precious days. So I settled for 4 books being done, and allowed the other 2 to push themselves into February.
- Started Praxis. Officially. The opening seminar was exhilarating; my class is awesome, and my advisers are freaking amazing. (Special shoutout to Hannah Frankman!)
- Set the stage for a new podcast. Educationeering will be hitting the air at the beginning of April. My goal is to create conversations with pioneers of education. I had my first interview, set goals, and brainstormed a lot.
February is looking like a month full of projects and new opportunities! It’s going to be awesome.
